Frying just about any freshwater fish Recipe for American Eel

Title: Frying just about any freshwater fish
by roaminangler
Type: Entree
Servings: 4 or m
Difficulty: Easy
Prep Time: Depends on how many show up
Cook Time: Ditto
Ingredients: Fish ...... of course ! Zip loc gallon bag/bags ; buttermilk ; and your favorite breading ....Zatarain's or another or your own . I usually get a couple of cheap aluminum casserole pans to bread in .
Directions: Let the fish soak in the buttermilk for an hour , add a little black pepper in that if you wish or a little cayenne if you like heat .Bring your cooking oil up to 350 degrees , and Ya'll know the rest .
Other Notes: I find this is a little lighter than making a wet batter and cracking eggs and all that .
