  • Went to this lake for the first time today. Had a few nibbles but got nothing in the boat. The wind was giving me some trouble so i held up in some of the coves. Also good is the coves provide some much needed shade during the summer. Despite the lack of a bite i will return to at least paddle the entire lake. This place is nice and no houses or high speed boats to bother with!!!

  • Catfishing is best after the dogwoods bloom in spring until cold weather. Try fresh chicken livers or large catalpa worms. Crappie fishing is best during the spawning season with small minnows and jigs in shallow water.
